Madrid, 1992
Raquel Algaba holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid and the Staatliche Kunst Akademie of Stuttgart. She holds a Master’s degree in Art Production from the University of Seville.
Her work has been showcased in solo exhibitions at institutions such as the C3A Contemporary Art Center of Andalucía (Córdoba), CEART Tomás y Valiente Art Center (Fuenlabrada), and Eduardo Úrculo Art Center (Langreo), as well as in international group shows across Europe. She has received numerous awards and recognitions, such as the Iniciarte Program Award (2024), the Begehungen Festival Prize in Germany (2023), and several acquisition prizes from public collections and art fairs like JUSTMAD or UMH Collection. Her practice has been supported by leading art residences and institutions, including Guldagergaard International Ceramic Residency, Hangar Lisboa, BilbaoArte Foundation, and Shiro Oni Residence in Japan. She has also participated in major art fairs such as ARTMadrid, JustMAD, and Marte.
